Doing What’s Needed
Both on campus and off, we are a group of women dedicated to helping raise awareness for women's heart health research and funding. We recognize that as women, our philanthropic cause hits closer to home. The Delta Rho Chapter is dedicated to making a lasting impact through our philanthropy events and campus programs. Learn more about our initiatives both on and off campus!
RED DRESS GALA
An evening held annually in the fall when family and Alumnae are inviting to return to the area for a silent auction, dinner, guest speakers and music.
In 2017, we raised over $14,500 for the Alpha Phi Foundation! This was double for what we raised in 2016 at this event!
A male talent show held at Emen's auditorium in February where we search for our new "Mr. Phi."
In 2018, 13 men from all parts of Ball State's campus (Greek life, athletics, clubs, etc.) competed to win our hearts over - the judges have the final say, however!
A brand new philanthropy that we will be holding early this coming fall! We are so excited to begin a new tradition with this on-campus soccer tournament. More details to come.
THE ALPHA PHI FOUNDATION
WHY WE WORK SO HARD TO DO WHAT WE DO
In 1956, Alpha Phi was one of the first women’s fraternities to establish a Foundation as a trust to award grants specifically for scholarship and cardiac aid. Today, the original priorities of Alpha Phi Foundation remain in our five vital programs:
Supporting programs that help women grow in leadership
Providing scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students
Supporting research and education essential for promoting heart health
Helping sisters in need with Forget Me Not assistance grants
Preserving more than a century’s worth of milestones in women’s history through our heritage program
The Foundation is well known and respected internationally as a prominent philanthropic leader in the Greek community.
