Sorority is a Home with Family
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF BALL STATE GREEK LIFE
Although Formal Recruitment 2019 wasn't that long ago, we are so excited to meet each of the potential new members participating in Formal Recruitment 2020. We also may be having Informal Recruitment in the Spring, so keep an eye out! We are honored to be a part of Greek life here at BSU and can’t wait to share it with you! Keep scrolling for a sneak peak of what each round is like!
Dates for Formal Recruitment 2020 are To Be Determined
Welcome Rounds are all about getting to know YOU! We want to learn about your interests, hobbies, and just other little things to help us get to know you better!
Involvement Rounds we want to talk with you about what you hope to be involved in on campus and in Greek Life! We also want to tell you a little about our Philanthropy and just spend time learning more about you!
Values Rounds we'll talk to you about our four values, which include: Generosity, Innovation, Sisterhood, and Character. In this round, we are able to talk about what Alpha Phi means to us and get to know your values!
Preference Rounds is unique to every sorority at Ball State! During this round, we get to know you on a deeper and more personal level.
Bid Day is where all of Greek Life gathers together to watch PNM's run HOME! At Alpha Phi Bid Day we do a lot of dancing, chants, and fun activities! Hands down one of the best days of the year!
Be confident in yourself! We are looking for unique, genuine members and we want to see your true personality!
Branch out and make new friends! College is such an exciting experience and is much different from high school. It is so easy to remain close with your friends from high school, but we encourage you to also make friends with other women during recruitment. Most of these women will be joining the Panhellenic community with you as well!
Keep an open mind! Remember that you are choosing a sorority for yourself, not anyone else. When going to each chapter and talking to the members, look for a place where you feel comfortable. The sorority you choose will be your home away from home for the next four years!
Take advantage of the Pi Chis! These women were hand-selected and are a great representation of Ball State's Greek community as well as the student body. They are here for you and to make your Recruitment process the best possible!
We know days can be early, so set a lot of alarms and put on comfy shoes! You're going to thank yourself when you're not rushing to get ready in the morning!
